Post Institute for Financial Learning
Does anyone have information on the Institute for Financial Learning operating in Calgary. I am not suggesting that it is a scam, but it is suggesting 40% returns.

Post Re: Institute for Financial Learning
There are many ways to recieve returns on investment greater than the garbage that our governments and Banks want us to believe. They have us believe than anything greater is very risky and more than likely a scam. But right here in the U.S.A. or Canada you can get R.O.I.s from our own government of up tp 50%. I personally do not invest in anything that is not over 25%.

As for the Institute of Financial Learning. I was at one of their seminars last night. You must not have been paying attention because they did not offer any kind of investment oppurtunities. They told you that they could show you investments that are available around the world with good returns but in no way did they offer to sell them to you. These investments would not be available to you unless you were properly structured to remove your self from the government controls that are hold the majority of people behind.

With work I can easily get ROIs of over 100% but if I could get ROIs of 40-50% doing SFA. I am interested. I am on this web site to see if any one has had any bad experiences with the Institute of Financial Learning. Fear is not a bad experience just a road block. I would like to hear more about IFL but not "OH MY GOD with returns greater than 2 3/4% it must be a scam!"

These folks operate like a cult. The people being fleeced have a religious-like belief and reject any and all information that conflicts with what the Institute people say.
The scam operates as both a Ponzi scheme with multi-level marking thrown in for good measure. They pay current members bonuses for recruiting new marks and apprently have returned some money to those that believe one or two payments or refunds means they are on the level. When it falls, lots of people are going to get badly hurt. Greed is such a devastating human frailty.
