Post Mailer Profits Inc
I just received a "Mail Order Business at Home" flyer in my mailbox today. I've been burned before and I was wondering if anyone has heard anything on Mailer Profits Inc. I checked the BBB Info website and no complaints have been posted.

Rosary my only concern after reading the letter I received from Mailer Profit is that on the form I received there is no contact phone number and they say you can mail them a money order, check or cash. It is my understanding that that is the first clue. Does the letter you received have a contact number or a website address? Also if it works out for you please let me know I am a homemaker looking to earn a little extra. cne444 :)

I too, have received a letter from Mailer Profits Inc. No phone #, no web address, and only a PO Box. Let me say first of all, I did not request their information, however, about 2 weeks ago, I did respond to an add in our local newpaper. They sent me a letter just like these folks, requested $$$ and were going to pay $4/per envelope!! I was skeptical, so I looked on the net, and there were several folks who had reported them as a scam. I can't remember the name of the company, right off hand, because it was a different name, but I can probably assure you all, that this too is a scam.

I also got the Mailer Profits flyer in the mail. I did a little digging and found some info. Looking on the Better Business Breaeu site, Mailer Profits Inc. seams to be linked to 12 other work at home companys in the Miami area. All have either unsatisfactory raitings or have not responded to inquirys from the Better Business Breaeu. All the ones with info say that for a $48 fee they offer $2 per enevelope. What they send you (if you recive anything) is flyers that you are tod to post around your area using your own address as the contact address and forward the replies to the company. All seem to be linked to the Diaz family in some way. Here is the list of companys and some info on them:

In January 2003, the Better Business Bureau requested that the
company substantiate its earnings claims (Process 100
envelopes get paid $200, process 250 envelopes get paid $500,
process 500 envelopes get paid $1000) by providing a list of
ten consumers who had earned the amounts claimed.
According to our files the company has refused to provide
this list of 10 consumers, substantiate or
modify its earning claims.

The company's address is a mail drop, not a physical location.

Well, that was a long one. If you get anything from these companys DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY. If you have had dealings with them and it went sour, contact the BBB or FTC. Also here is a statment that the BBB puts on all its work at home pages:

"Every day, ads for work-at-home jobs appear in newspapers across the country as well as on the Internet. Some of the offers include stuffing envelopes, assembling products, reading books, reviewing movies, medical transcriptions or selling advertising on the Internet.

The Better Business Bureau suggests extreme caution when responding to any such offer. While ads claim high earnings and short hours with little or no experience, the Bureau files nationwide indicate no evidence of anyone making the promised money. Rarely, if ever, are these ads an offer of legitimate
employment. Generally, these jobs require up-front fees for information or supplies, and only the person who ran the ad makes any money.

You should be aware that US Postal Inspectors regularly investigate these fraudulent schemes, and that you risk investigation and possible prosecution by postal or other law enforcement agencies if you become involved in one of these schemes."

PS: If it sounds to good to be true, It probibily is.
