Post Menage Innovations
Hey guys, this is my first time here, and I hope this is the right place to post this (sorry if it isn't?. Anyway I live in Memphis,TN and came across a new buisness that started up about a year and half ago. It is a MLM company known as Menage Innovations. So, you pay either $400 or $600 and you are then obligated by the company to purchase $50 worth of what they sell, which is Omaha Steak and GNC products. You also are supposed to recruit people under you to do the same, and you get money for signing them up. I was wondering if anyone had heard of them, and have any information about them. They have a website and stuff (link removed by MOD) .info would be greatly appreciated.

Haven't heard of them, but if you do the math, just how many folks do you need to sign up to merely break even with your initial expenditure?

Do you even have a use for the products?

You might also want to consider the following story (not mine, I cut & pasted it from another website)
-------------------

This Tuna's for Selling

Although this is a complex legal area, a simple story draws a clear line in the sand. Party No. 1 sells Party No. 2 a case of cans of tuna fish for $10. Party No. 2 sells the same case to No. 3 for $20 and so on until No. 9 sells the case to No. 10 for $500. No. 10 opens the case and opens one of the cans, which turns out to be rancid. He goes back to No. 9 who refers him to No. 8 and so on until No. 10 goes to No. 1 to complain.

"I have major problem," he says.

"So, what's your problem?" says No. 1.

"Well," says No. 10, "the tuna is rancid, it's inedible."

"So, what's your problem," No. 1 says again.

No. 10 says, "Like I said, this tuna is no good."

"Well," says No. 1, "the way I see it, you don't really have a problem."

"What do you mean?" says No. 10, "this stuff is worthless."

"You don't understand," said No. 1, "this tuna is for selling, it's not for eating!"

And there lies the difference. Distributors in a network marketing program that are merely buying product to buy into the deal as opposed to an intention of really making a market for it, are really working a pyramid scheme, not a legitimate direct selling business. Remember, when you offer this opportunity to your next-door neighbor or your best friend, it's your credibility that's going to be on the line for years to come.

If there were not a compensation plan attached, would you buy the health products from Menage or would you just shop at GNC? Would you buy steak from Menage or just go direct to Omaha Steak?

When you go to the Menage site and sign up as a distributor, the Terms of Service "I have carefully read and agree to comply with the Ménage Policies and Procedures and the Ménage Marketing and Compensation Plan, both of which are
incorporated into and made a part of these Terms and Conditions (these three documents shall be collectively referred to as the “Agreement”).

Unless I am blind, I don't see where the comp plan or P&P's are posted for reading, so do I just skim through the TOS and agree blindly to something I haven't seen?

Everybody my name’s Eric, I am new to the site here, but I wanted to take a second to answer or respond to the previous couple of posts. I am a distributor with Menage Innovations and I can promise you that this is not a scam. That it is a legitimate home business opportunity and to prove it I have laid out everything for you to view and analyze or maybe I should say scrutinize at (link removed by MOD) for absolutely free.
· You ask, how many people does it take to get your initial investment back? The answer is simple three.
· Why wouldn’t you go and buy these products at your local grocery store? That answers two fold. One our product is far superior to what you’ll find in your grocery store. Secondly, why spend your money building the profits of the grocery store chains owner and not your own?
· How do you know that this isn’t a scam? At my website I provide you a direct link to the better business bureau so that you can review for yourself Menage Innovations and it’s satisfactory rating. I also personally know many of the distributors that are part of the Ménage Innovations family of distributors and these are up standing people in their communities.
But, don’t take it from me, do your due diligence, do your research this is an outstanding company providing an absolutely astounding opportunity for you to build a home based business that can truly change the path of your future. I know most of you out there are skeptical and I know this because I was very skeptical. Upon hearing the business presentation for the first time, I walked away thinking , “ya right!” But, as I reviewed the material and truly thought about what was presented to me I began to feel that I was crazy if I did not try.
So, please go to the website at (link removed by MOD) or ask me any questions that you like. I am an open book and have nothing to hide. A truly think this is a great business opportunity for everybody. However, I also know that this business will not be a fit for everybody and that’s fine and I hope that you find the fit that’s right for you.
Eric

Hey Jen,

I found the comp-plan.

It's in the slide presentaition.

Here's the link.

http://www.onlineservicesnet.com/men...sinessopp.aspx

IMHO, it's not very generous. 1% seven levels, 5% on the 8th.

The food looks good, & expensive!

I wish them luck.

Is it possible to make money just by selling the product, without sponsoring anybody, and is anybody in fact doing this?

That question is always a good starting point in working whether its a genuine MLM or a pyramid scheme.

The price points gonna interfere with retailing IMHO.

Very expensive!

Kerry,
Look at the comp plan one more time. It's 5% on the seventh level and 20% on #8. Also in regards to cost if you compare the product to Omaha Steaks we are quite a bit cheaper and just slightly more than your local grocery, but a much higher quality. Do a little research on Empire Food Distributors, thats who we use and they are the oldest and largest in the nation. Just a couple of points I wanted to clarify.

Chris,
Check out (link removed by MOD) ,but to answer your questions directly, the answer is yes. By signing up at the $49.00 distributor level you may purchase product at wholesale and sale at retail and not have to worry about team building. By the way, was hanging out with one of my friends last night who is a chef and owns his own restaraunt in Hilton Head and were looking at the product list. He said that our prices were the same on some products and cheaper on others than what they were paying from their distributors. Just thought you might like to know. Have a great weekend.

I am a distributor for menage as well. I have to say after trying many other systems Amay, Shaklee, and Herbalife, and Unum communications. This one is very different. I am actually making money at it. Not only that they are open about the money. They do not quote you just a percentage the show you what that percentage is. This way they can to change it on you. I also go to meet the owners. They want to break this industry because of the way companies have done this in the past. TO prove I am truthful here is my site (link removed by MOD) Please log on and check it out. Buy some stuff if you want. The Pork chops rule.
