Received a notice in the mail today that I had won $3,341,006.00 in a sweepstakes *confirmed!*. I am, of course, sworn to secrecy.
The catch? I never entered any sweepstakes I have to send $20 "processing fees" to "release the report". The company has been reported to the Las Vegas BBB They've been reported by the Greeley Times as a scam Several reports on ripoffreports.com of the same scam.
The certificates are being mailed by Lapham, Vargas & Cornell, a Las Vegas-based company that does business under a number of names, including Las Vegas Nevada Actionable Award Program and Selective Award Citation Organization/ America. Don't fall for this scam.
Better yet, do what I did. Load up the return-post paid envelope with the heaviest stuff you can find, and mail it back to them. And report them to the Postal Service.

Re: Las Vegas Nevada Actionable Award Program
We got one of these in the mail today. I figured it you had to send money it wasn't legitimate. I'm going to report to the BBB tomorrow. Ours said EXACTLY word for word what chocho's said.
