hi folks!
i represent a family that represents a major manufacturer of telecommunications power conditiong/power management hardware products. ONEAC Corp. - Chloride Power Group, LLP on the web at
http://www.chloridepower.com my father's company is one of their US reps:
http://www.gryphon-inc.comdad sells it. i assemble, install, activate, maintain and repair the stuff that companies like Scrubbu use to do their business, legitimate or not. i don't write software. i test it to make sure it is safe and does what it says it will do.
i do my own searches and never get involved in any of these marketing schemes. don't need to. my products and services sell themselves and i couldn't possibly keep up with the demands of sales brought to me by telemarketers by myself.
when i read the allegations of infection, along with claims of fraud, i thought i'd buzz up Scrubbu and offer them a free trial of my services to help him refute your claims.
so i diddy-bopped on over to their homepage and called the toll-free number which was answered by a machine and asked to wait for a representative. i gave them about five minutes, or 5 dollars worth of my time waiting and then tried the local line and waited about a minute.
my experience tells me that automated phone system is covering for a company so small with a flim-flam so good and owners so greedy they won't even hire enough bodies to answer the phone. i'll give them extra points for originality in the jargon their bot speaks, though --- not at all like the major corporation's standard canned crap for their Text-to-Speech (TTS) Application Program Interface (API). someone even took the time to slightly modify the sound of the default female voice everybody uses.
when i worked for one of my friend's fathers whose company were telemarketing gift food packages they manufactured back in the days of switchboard receptionists and boiler rooms, freddie, the owner, would sit in his office with an eye on the phone and any time he saw a light blinking for more than about 15 seconds, he'd grab it himself, even if he had a client in there with him.
i don't wait on hold for an agent to come back after the initial answer for more than a minute or two and certainly don't ever give a robot that much time just because it told me my call is important to them. the next sound you hear, bitch, is gonna be a click followed by dead silence.
if old Scrubbo wants to fault my conclusion as an experienced investigator, i welcome his rebuttal and am still willing to give him a free analysis if he desires.
i'm just not going to wait in queue for him to finish gabbing on the phone with every sucker that called in before me. * Your call will be answered in the order it was received. Please Wait DOT-DOT-DOT Someone will be with you in a moment *
well hell, i'm a scientist and a moment in my world is rarely longer than 10 seconds and only 60 of those make up a "be back in a minute" when live chuckleheads put me on hold.
