Save yourself some money using this card by NOT using the PIN option when making purchases. Always use it as a credit card, and it will save you 50 cents per transaction. If you don't know how to do this, hit the "Cancel" button on the key pad when it asks for your PIN. It will then process as a credit card, but it won't buy you any time as far as withdrawing money from your account is concerned. All transactions are processed real time into your account

I recently received my card in the mail but, I have not put money on it yet and I have not used it yet, either. I am just nervour that, If I put my money on the card that, when I go use it, the money will not be on the card. As you can see this is my first time having one of these cards. Someone please tell me that, accountnow is a legal and great company to ease my worries about putting money on the card because, I really want to use it. Also, I wanted to know can this card be used anywhere in South and North Carolina at any store and restaurant?

How's this:
I bought two green dot money pak's for my account now card, $500 each, redeemed them, and Accountnow froze my account saying that there was suspicious activity. The notes on my account advised their risk department NOT to talk to me. Their call center refused to put me on the line with risk and wouldn't put me on with a manage.
The kicker is, they questioned the validity of the deposit. Prepaid card questioning cash deposits? Three hours of phone calls got me nowhere.
Avoid them at all costs. Wiredplastic is much better.

AccountNow works great unless and until you have a problem with your account. Twice in the past two years, my account has been closed, with no warning or notice to me, because they were concerned that someone had obtained some of their account numbers. It took a week to get new cards and I was unable to access ANY of my funds until I got the new card. In the past month, someone fraudulently obtained my debit card number and info and cleaned out my account by online purchases and subscriptions to adult websites/publications. Even though the Federal law specifically requires FDIC insured banks to provide you provisional credit once they determine the charges were indeed fraudulent, Accountnow will not do so and I have to wait the full 60 to get my money back. I work for one of the largest law firms in the nation and have had great legal help with this, but apparently AccountNow feels that they do not have to follow Federal law and banking regulations. BE CAREFUL!

This company has by far the worst Customer Serivice I've ever done business with. Lack of professionalism and untrustworthy. My account has been suspended simply because my DOB was incorrectly applied to account. I have spoken to several reps, including Supervisor and no resolution thus far. And when I asked to speak to a Manager, I was told that he doesnt speak to consumers and was left on hold for twice for 20mins. And when I asked for the phone number to Corporate Office, I was told it was not available. Eventhough, I've faxed all necessary documents reflecting my identity, I was told I have to wait 3 business days before Im allowed access to my own money, as if, they gave it to me. This has caused me financial hardship and a lot of stress for I am unable to tend to my financial responsibilities in a timely manner. After speaking to others with this card, I learn that this is common practice with this company and others have had to wait up to 30days for any resolution. I intent on taking legal action if necessary because there has to a law against what this company is doing. Thank God my cousin is a Lawyer.  HORIBBLE Customer Service! And I do intend to take further action if these people intend to rip me off. Hope this helps others. STAY AWAY FROM ACCOUNTNOW!
