Post Re: Scrubbu dl scam
Between 08/17/2009 and 08/21/2009 I was hit with four charges for WWW.SCRUBBU.COM BELIZE in the amounts of 12.95, 0.39, 29.95 and 0.90 for what was supposed to be a 48 hour $2.00 trial period. I got files from a Polish download site routed through a server in Belize with what I can only imagine are long distance phone charges. They sure as Hell aren't charges for anything I agreed to.

God please open the gates of Hell and let these Thieving Crooked Bastards in.

Post Re: Scrubbu dl scam
hi folks!

i represent a family that represents a major manufacturer of telecommunications power conditiong/power management hardware products. ONEAC Corp. - Chloride Power Group, LLP on the web at http://www.chloridepower.com

my father's company is one of their US reps: http://www.gryphon-inc.com

dad sells it. i assemble, install, activate, maintain and repair the stuff that companies like Scrubbu use to do their business, legitimate or not. i don't write software. i test it to make sure it is safe and does what it says it will do.

i do my own searches and never get involved in any of these marketing schemes. don't need to. my products and services sell themselves and i couldn't possibly keep up with the demands of sales brought to me by telemarketers by myself.

when i read the allegations of infection, along with claims of fraud, i thought i'd buzz up Scrubbu and offer them a free trial of my services to help him refute your claims.

so i diddy-bopped on over to their homepage and called the toll-free number which was answered by a machine and asked to wait for a representative. i gave them about five minutes, or 5 dollars worth of my time waiting and then tried the local line and waited about a minute.

my experience tells me that automated phone system is covering for a company so small with a flim-flam so good and owners so greedy they won't even hire enough bodies to answer the phone. i'll give them extra points for originality in the jargon their bot speaks, though --- not at all like the major corporation's standard canned crap for their Text-to-Speech (TTS) Application Program Interface (API). someone even took the time to slightly modify the sound of the default female voice everybody uses.

when i worked for one of my friend's fathers whose company were telemarketing gift food packages they manufactured back in the days of switchboard receptionists and boiler rooms, freddie, the owner, would sit in his office with an eye on the phone and any time he saw a light blinking for more than about 15 seconds, he'd grab it himself, even if he had a client in there with him.

i don't wait on hold for an agent to come back after the initial answer for more than a minute or two and certainly don't ever give a robot that much time just because it told me my call is important to them. the next sound you hear, bitch, is gonna be a click followed by dead silence.

if old Scrubbo wants to fault my conclusion as an experienced investigator, i welcome his rebuttal and am still willing to give him a free analysis if he desires.

i'm just not going to wait in queue for him to finish gabbing on the phone with every sucker that called in before me. * Your call will be answered in the order it was received. Please Wait DOT-DOT-DOT Someone will be with you in a moment *

well hell, i'm a scientist and a moment in my world is rarely longer than 10 seconds and only 60 of those make up a "be back in a minute" when live chuckleheads put me on hold.

Everybody that has been burned by this knows it is a thieving scam. Why haven't these Turds been stopped?

I have had my personal Credit Card Number, E-Mail , Cell phone number, MAC ID, ISP number and every other think you can think of handed out like Candy Canes by these "Legitimate Company Ass Wipes".

I have had to change my Credit Card Number, , dispute Charges with my bank, go through hundreds of Unsolicited E-Mails and "Unsubscribe" to tons of S*** I never asked for to begin with and dial their useless "Never Answered" numbers.

Why in the F*** can't we just Lynch their useless Asses and be done with them?

They should just be eliminated. Preferably by throwing a securely tied rope around their Lying Necks and kicking their Lying Thieving Asses off of a bridge; but any way that works!

This is Organized Crime. It is not "A Legitimate Business". It is a Plague on legitimate E-commerce. Why we "Tolerate" this for even one minute is just unimaginable.

This (They) need to die.!

Hi SubJunk,

I was initially out the $29.95, but to my surprise, I had a full refund posted to my credit card on the following statement. I'm not sure if the refund came from the merchant or if the credit card company was able to claw back funds because I complained to them as soon as I realized I had been taken. I keep a careful eye on my credit bureau stuff, but so far in the months since, nothing weird has happened on my accounts. Touch wood.

That's great news, Dave. I'm glad you were able to get the money back.

Still no refund is noticed. Finally after Riding them , i mean calling once an hour... spamming their chat system with 3 pcs , emailing them chat transcripts of their operators hanging up on me, showing them proof i could sue them and win..... I got a notice of refund of HALF of what they charged me.
